Making our own Spaces full of outdoor fun

As a family, we were very intentional about creating an outdoor space that was safe, but also fun and exciting. It was part of our philosophy to make the home a place where we wanted to be. Our children were thrilled when we invested in a zipline. We had big trees and a slightly sloping yard from the side to the back. It was perfect. From that start we added a slackline with a ninja line. It gave our children fun things to do with each other and with their friends. It also gave them a fun way to spend time outside being active. In this post, we’ll take a closer look at three outdoor play products that can transform your backyard into an adventure zone: a slackline, ninja line, and zipline. Let’s dive into the pros and cons of each!

Swaying High with a Slackline

A slackline is a simple but thrilling addition that provides both fun and balance training. Kids can practice their coordination and focus while trying to walk across the line.

Pros: Improves balance, increases core strength, and encourages physical activity.

Cons: Requires space between two sturdy trees, and younger kids may need supervision.

Master the Ninja Line

If your little ones are fans of obstacle courses, a ninja line can spark their creativity. Older kids love it as well. With adjustable straps, you can customize your setup for various challenges and activities.

Pros: Enhances strength, agility, and encourages imaginative play.

Cons: Requires installation and a bit of maintenance over time.

Soar with a Zipline

A zipline adds a thrilling element that appeals to adventure seekers of all ages. It can instantly make your backyard the envy of the block!

Pros: Provides a sense of adventure and can accommodate multiple riders.

Cons: Installation can be complex and may require professional help for safety. We also found that if not adjusted every few years, it began to pinch the tree.

Additional Tips

Young children need constant supervision on the zipline.

Place padding on the tree to prevent injury

Ultimately, we found that these outdoor play products  enhanced our home setup, offering fun and learning opportunities for kids. So, get ready to play outside and enjoy the great outdoors!
